Income Estimator

You can expect to keep around 50% (on average) of all money you remove from your vending machines. An example would be cans at a case (24) cost of $8.50 each, sold through your machines at a .85 vend price or $20.40 a case. With a small commission subtracted from this total (paid to the individual locations, not SRUSA), you will be left with a 50%-55% profit.

Sales volumes will usually be lower in the winter while extreme weekly totals in the summer can reach 200 a week and more. The warm months more than make up for the cold months. Your route's value is an accumulative average of cold months, warm months, great accounts, good accounts and decent accounts. Routes we establish will sometimes average over $100 a week and the lowest averages experienced are around $50 per week. Using $100, $75 and $50 weekly averages, the following volumes can be expected:

$100/week, per location.

RT Size Weekly Volume Annual Volume
10 Machines $1,000 $52,000 (return on investment: approximately 5 and a half months)
15 Machines $1,500 $78,000 (return on investment: approximately 4 months)
20 Machines $2,000 $104,000 (return on investment: less than 4 months)

$75/week, per location.

RT Size Weekly Volume Annual Volume
10 Machines $750 $39,000 (return on investment: approximately 8 months)
15 Machines $1,125 $58,500 (return on investment: approximately 7 months)
20 Machines $1,500 $78,000 (return on investment: approximately 6 months)

$50/week, per location.

RT Size Weekly Volume Annual Volume
10 Machines $500 $26,000 (return on investment: approximately 11 months)
15 Machines $750 $39,000 (return on investment: approximately 10 months)
20 Machines $1,000 $52,000 (return on investment: approximately 9 months)

As you can see, even a $40 weekly average would have your investment back in around a year. Most financial advisers will tell you a 4 year payback is a good investment. If for any reason you do not like your route after it is established, you can always sell your route. Established routes are in high demand and the industry has assessed the value of a vending route at 1 years gross which in all likelihood would not only return your investment but also make you a nice profit for your efforts.
